The holiday season is fast approaching and that can only mean three things: food, finals and – winter break. With only 30 work days until winter break, what better time than now to start planning?
Don’t forget, to be eligible to receive pay for the two-week winter holiday break, you must be: (1) at work for the entire workweeks immediately prior to and immediately following the holiday period; or (2) on paid leave, which may include annual leave.
Employees who are not in pay status (at work or on paid leave) for those entire workweeks will not receive the two-week winter break holiday pay.
For more information about Holiday Leave refer to D.5.3.1 (Procedure) Holidays, Leaves and Absences.
