In February’s regular board meeting, the Alamo Colleges District was presented with the 2017 Well Workplace Silver Award. For the first time in history, the Alamo Colleges District has been named as one of “America’s Healthiest Companies,” by the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA).
The Well Workplace Silver Award recognizes quality and excellence in worksite health that aligns with the organization’s priorities. The Alamo Colleges District was one of only 4 community colleges nationwide to receive the Silver-level recognition in 2017 for its commitment to workplace wellness. The Silver Well Workplace Award recognizes organizations that have demonstrated that their workplace is supportive of employee’s efforts to modify health risks and improve overall health and well-being.
