Holiday Phone and Email Messaging

Before leaving the office for the holidays, individuals and units should change their voicemail messages and out of office email messages to reflect the holiday recess. Suggested examples are provided.

Colleges:
The colleges of the Alamo Colleges District are closed for the Holiday Season beginning December 20. This includes (college name) and its satellite locations and offices. We will resume regular operating hours on January 3, 2019. For registration and other information, visit our website here (insert hyperlink for college main web page for Outlook message and college website name (such as alamo.edu/sac for phone message). In case of an emergency, please call our police department at (210) 485-0911.  Have a safe and happy holiday!

Phone Extended Absence Greeting
Also, the extended-absence option on the phones enables users to add a greeting for absences and not have to record over their current “no answer” greeting.

To use this feature:

  1. Enter your phone mailbox from the main menu, press 4.
  2. For extended-absence greeting, press 1 and enter the wording below:
